Danielle Battle was born and raised in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Danielle was educated in the DC and MD public school systems. Daniele is employed with Battle’s Transportation where she has served faithfully for over 20 years. Danielle is an entrepreneur as she has several side businesses of her own. Danielle is very interested in helping those less fortunate and always ready to lend a helping hand.

Stephanie Burns was born and raised in Harlem, NY. She graduated from the College of New Rochelle with a bachelors degree in Social Science. Stephanie began her human service career by housing homeless singles in NYC. She then worked with disabled children within the school system and later with foster children transitioning out of care. Stephanie currently works with families in Gaston County with the Department of Social Services connecting them with community resources and promoting empowerment.

Robert Fletcher was born in Lancaster, SC and educated in the public schools of Waxhaw, NC. Robert worked for Johnson Mill for 5 years, Lance for 10 years, and Charlotte Pipe and Foundry for 18 years. Robert is now retired and has recently been voted onto the Board for Habitat for Humanity. Robert is active with the Power Fanatics Mustang Club of Monroe, NC which is dedicated to uplifting the community. Robert continues to be active with community assistance and volunteerism.

Tiffany Denise Grier is aunt to 3 nieces and one nephew and a sister to a brother in the US Navy. Tiffany graduated from Olympic High School and attended the University of Phoenix briefly. She currently is employed at the NC License Tag Agency. She is the leader of Team Helping Hands, a volunteer group where a few people get together and feed the homeless. Tiffany enjoys attending church, The City of God, and spending time with her nieces.

Maskins Knox received an Associate degree in Mechanical Technology and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and has obtained a Professional Engineer License from the State of Ohio. Maskins recently retired from The Proctor & Gamble Company at the Duracell Battery Mfg. site in Lancaster, SC in the position of project engineering manager. In this role, he was responsible for capital projects in the range of $500 M to $10 MM, the site sustainability program and the site dust collection systems.

 

Since retirement, Maskins is active on the Habitat for Humanity Board as an officer in Lancaster, SC. Additionally, Maskins serves as the Preacher Steward and Chairperson of the Steward Board of North Corner A.M.E. Zion Church. In this capacity, Maskins is responsible for overseeing the church budget and finances.

Vernelle is originally from Florence, SC. Vernelle graduated from West Florence High School and is currently the director of two Connie Maxwell Children’s Home campuses—Chesterfield & Orangeburg, SC. Vernelle has been at the Chesterfield campus for 17 years and with Connie Maxwell for a total of 25 years. Vernelle loves the Lord and it is exemplified in her work with children.

Terri Thompson is the Richland County Director for the SC Department of Social Services. Terri has worked for the Department in several roles over the past 14 years since graduating from Winthrop University where she studied fine arts and psychology. Terri is a Human Services Board Certified Practitioner (HS-BCP), a credential held by just over 4000 practitioners in the nation. In May 2015, Terri earned a Master of Arts degree in Human Services from Wake Forest University.
